From a template to a published website

Plenvera is one platform for your public website and the CMS your team uses to run it. Here is what happens at each step today.

01 / 05

Set up

An owner creates the website from a template and chooses its languages and address. The site gets its own copy of the template’s starting pages, menus and site text, all as drafts. During early access, our team sets up your organization with you.

Edit

Pages are built from content blocks: headings, text, calls to action and module lists. Each language version is its own page, linked to its translation. Editors save drafts; autosave never publishes.

Preview

A preview shows one draft exactly as it will look on your website, through a private link that expires. Nobody else sees drafts.

Publish

Publishers publish the version they reviewed. If someone changed it in the meantime, Plenvera asks them to review again. Every published version is kept.

Launch and connect a domain

A site goes live only when its owner launches it, and only once its home page is published. It then has a platform address, and you can connect your own domain when you’re ready.

Who can do what

Owner
Manages the organization, its team, websites and export.
Site administrator
Manages a website’s settings, design, modules and domains.
Publisher
Publishes content after review.
Editor
Drafts and edits content; cannot publish.
Author
Drafts their own content.
Billing administrator
Sees the organization’s agreement; cannot edit or publish content.

Current limits

  • Our team builds each site; there is no do-it-yourself site builder. Your team edits content and approved sections, not code.
  • Larger design changes and new components are made by our team.
  • Custom domains are set up with our team.
  • Online payment is not open yet.

A simpler next step for your organization’s website.
